The Sony FE 24mm f/2.8 G (SEL24F28G) is an ultra-compact wide-angle prime lens designed for Sony full-frame E-mount mirrorless cameras, and fully compatible with APS-C E-mount bodies. Part of Sony’s prestigious G Lens series, it delivers outstanding optical performance in a remarkably small and lightweight form measuring just 68 x 45mm and weighing only 162g. Its advanced optical formula comprises 8 elements in 7 groups, including three aspherical elements and one ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass element, ensuring sharp corner-to-corner resolution, minimised chromatic aberration, and beautifully natural bokeh from its 7-blade circular aperture diaphragm.

The lens features dual XD Linear AF motors for fast, precise, and near-silent autofocus ideal for both stills and video combined with an internal focus design that keeps the overall length constant and prevents the front element from rotating, making it well-suited for use with polarising filters and gimbals. A physical aperture ring with a click/de-click switch allows seamless transitions between stills and video shooting, while an AF/MF switch and a customisable focus hold button add further creative control. The aluminium exterior finish, dust- and moisture-resistant sealing, and fluorine-coated front element make it a robust and reliable companion for street, landscape, travel, and documentary photography.
