Dorr Ocean 10×50 Waterproof Porro Prism Binoculars

The Dorr Ocean 10×50 is a waterproof porro prism binocular built for boats, coasts and wet weather. It comes with a floating strap, so if it goes over the side it stays on the surface where you can see it.

Waterproof and fog-proof

The Ocean is nitrogen filled and sealed against temporary submersion to 1m for around 30 minutes. Rain, spray, fog and snow will not get inside, and the lenses will not mist up when you move between a warm cabin and a cold deck.

Floating strap

Swap the regular neck strap for the supplied floating strap when you are on the water. Its thick, bright yellow padding keeps the binocular afloat and easy to spot if it is dropped.

Porro prisms for a 3D view

BaK-4 porro prisms give a bright, natural image with real depth, and multicoated lenses reduce reflections. The 50mm objectives and 5mm exit pupil keep the view bright on grey days and in the evening.

10x for distant detail

10x magnification brings distant boats, buoys, seabirds and coastline closer. On a moving deck, bracing yourself helps keep the image steady. The large centre wheel focuses both eyepieces smoothly.

Comfortable with glasses

Twist-up eyecups give 19mm of eye relief, generous enough for glasses, and the dioptre adjusts by plus or minus 4.
